Valborg ♡

Då var det dags att fira Valborg igen! Och i Sverige anordnar de olika kommunerna Valborgsfirande i stadsparker, på stränderna och vid sjöar.

Här i Malmö är Sibbarp strand och Västra hamnen två populära Valborgs-destinationer. 

Man tar sig ut i blåsten (för vanligtvis blåser det som fan just den här kvällen, som alla alltid ber för ska förbli vindstilla, på grund av elden...(!)) till en av brasorna. Står runt brasan och dricker öl, snackar, ser upp så att inga barn kommer för nära brasan.

Sen går man tillbaka till sina vänner, eller hem och grillar.

It's time to celebrate Valborg again! And in Sweden, the different municipalities organise Valborg celebrations in city parks, on beaches and by lakes.

Here in Malmö, Sibbarp beach and Västra hamnen are two popular Valborg destinations.

You go out in the wind... (because it's usually windy as hell on this particular evening, which everyone always prays will remain windless, because of the fire (!)).... to one of the bonfires. Standing around the fire, drinking beer, chatting, making sure no children get too close to the fire.

Then you go back to your friends, or home and barbecue.
